Community engagement is most effective when people feel seen, heard, respected, and connected to meaningful action. For workforce professionals, adult education providers, career pathway programs, and community partners, outreach cannot simply be transactional. It must be relational, culturally responsive, and rooted in trust.This interactive webinar will explore practical strategies for building stronger relationships with students, adult learners, job seekers, families, employers, community-based organizations, and underserved populations. Participants will examine how trust is built, why some outreach efforts fall short, and how to create engagement experiences that feel more human, inclusive, and action-oriented.The session will focus on moving beyond “getting people to show up” and toward creating environments where people feel welcomed, valued, and motivated to participate. Participants will leave with tools for strengthening communication, deepening partnerships, increasing participation, and connecting community members to resources, services, and opportunities in ways that are practical and meaningful.
